Community mosaic mural projects are designed by lead artist/art therapist Sara Skowronski and are in collaboration with various community groups.
One Example: A project may be designed with a dual purpose of neighborhood beautification and inclusion of various populations. We work with different community groups to promotedifferent themes. This mosaic mural project will help neighborhoods come together during these challenging economic times while promoting a sense of usefulness and self - esteem to our the various populations. Lead Artist will facilitate a safe space for the participants to design and create the neighborhood murals. They will use their creativity and newly learned mosaic skills to amplify the “Beauty We Possess.”
Medium scale
projects include my full time facilitation of the design and
installation of the mosaic project, and allow me more room to
participate with the group.
I can afford to spend more time with the group and bring in
complimentary activities to our projects. Photo documentation and a
celebration are a must.
